MUwDV - Breanne Trammell Live Interview

MUwDV - Breanne Trammell Live Interview

Presented by Made-Up w/ Danny Volk at Unknown

Join us for a live interview with artist, Breanne Trammell on Sunday, October 15 at the Hive Mind at 4 pm. MUwDV is an artist interview series in which Volk asks artists questions while they create art on his face using everyday makeup. Danny’s face is revealed at the end of the interview, creating a fun and exciting climax to the informative conversation. Local band Comfort Clouds will be playing before each live Akron interview.

Breanne Trammell is a multi-disciplinary artist with a background in printmaking. Her work explores objects and icons from popular culture, the confluence of highbrow and lowbrow, and mines from her personal history. It presents common experiences and awkward memories that we come to terms with, and commemorates these experiences through humor and playful formalism, like a giant papier-mâché paper clip, or letterpress-printed twitter posts. Objects, observations, and inescapable memories that may seem unimportant are made significant through the lens of Trammell’s work. She earned her MFA from Rhode Island School of Design and her BFA from the University of Texas at Arlington.
