Presented by Singers Companye, The Cabaret Project premiers a one night only performance at BLU Jazz+ this December. Founded in 2000 by Dr. Samuel Gordon, vocal ensemble Singers Companye reguarly performs across Northeast Ohio and internationally, recently touring Ireland this past summer to great acclaim. Producer/Director Alexandre Marr, a member of the ensemble, is thrilled to be collaborating with BLU Jazz + for the premier performance of The Cabaret Project with the mission of bringing a cabaret scene to the Akron area. The evening will feature members of the ensemble and their family and friends for a night of 21st century Broadway/Off-Broadway repertoire including selections from Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, Spring Awakening, The Last Five Years, Next to Normal, The Color Purple, The Bridges of Madison County, The Light in the Piazza, Beautiful, It Shoulda Been You, Anastasia, and more.
