Entrepreneurship Series: Managing a Multi-generational Workforce

Entrepreneurship Series: Managing a Multi-generational Workforce

Presented by Hudson Library & Historical Society at Hudson Library and Historical Society

Join Deborah A. Easton, Communication Skills Consultant, for a program on how to manage today’s multi-generational workforce. There are now five generations in today’s workforce, each with a different method of accomplishing asks, giving and following instructions, and communicating. For anyone who manages multiple generations, an understanding of these different methods is key to leading a productive and cohesive team and building trust among team members. This program will give a brief overview of the shared historical experiences that create each generation’s mindset about work, and an understanding of different generation’s work habits and requirements of management.

Easton has a Master’s Degree in Rhetoric and Communication. She has been facilitating corporate training for thousands of employees of various industries for over 35 years. From 1981-1991 she taught at Kent State University in the Graduate School of Management and the School of Communication Studies, from whom she received the 2012 Distinguished Alumni Award for her contributions to the field of communication.
