Singer. Songwriter. Explosive multi-instrumentalist. Ray Goren is a true triple-threat, having grown up under the wing of blues legends and songwriting icons. Now, at 17 years old, he comes of age with his full-length debut, Me, which finds the ever-evolving musician creating his own sound rooted in pop, R&B, soul, and melodic rock ānā roll.
Before growing into a sharp songwriter, Goren built his reputation as a hotshot blues guitarist. A child prodigy, he began sharing the stage with legends like Buddy Guy and Robby Krieger at 12 years old. He opened for B.B. King soon after. Then, after meeting Leon Russell at a show in southern California, he began focusing not only on performing music, but writing it, too. Russell and Goren became songwriting partners, with Russell serving as Goren’s mentor during the final years of his life.
Currently, you can hear Ray’s new song, ‘Me’, from When I’m Gone, on The Summit.
FREE to Summit Members and local listeners.
