Join the Gay Community Endowment Fund as we celebrate the fund’s impact in the community and ask for your support in Investing in Our Future.
Proceeds will support the GCEF Scholarship Fund, which awards academic scholarships to LGBTQ and allied students in Greater Akron. The annual event celebrates the Gay Community Endowment Fund’s impact in the community and recognizes its most recent grant recipients.
The event will feature a performance by the North Coast Men’s Chorus Coastliners. In addition, renowned photographer Shane Wynn will unveil TransAkron, a groundbreaking new photojournalism series that portrays the stories of individuals in Akron’s transgender community.
This year’s emcee is acclaimed stand-up comic Karen Williams, who founded the International Institute of Humor and Healing Arts (HaHA). Akron Mayor Dan Horrigan will serve as honorary chair.
Sponsorship opportunities for the event range from $250 to $1,000 and include complimentary tickets to the event, among other benefits.
