Marionette Art
Marionettes (string puppets) and hand puppets were made from a variety of materials. The head and hands of the puppets were often made of wood while the body and other details made of leather, cloth, and glass. After the Spanish conquest of Mexico, arts of Spain and Europe influenced the indigenous artists.

Our class will teach basic construction and provide basic materials to complete on marionette in the style and attitude of your choice. If you would like to embellish with additional materials, feel free to bring to class.

Creativity with Crave Cantina
Crave Cantina, best Globally Inspired Latin American Food north of the Border, located at 2097 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221 is partnering with artist and teacher, Amy Mothersbaugh, owner of the art gallery, Studio 2091, located next door at 2091 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221.

Every month in 2018 you are invited to join us for a Central American themed art project, and matching refreshments prepared by Crave Cantina.

You will learn the projects’ history and be taught how to make it. All skill levels welcomed. Minors must have a responsible adult with them at all times. The class will be held at Crave Cantina from 6:30-8:30. You will be provided all art materials needed to complete the project, and are welcome to bring additional materials to each class if desired.
