Poetry, Stories, & Music - Featuring Olivia Millerschin

Presented by Poetry in Akron at Nervous Dog Coffee Bar

The 6th installment of the regular last Friday of the month event at the Nervous Dog Coffee Bar! A night of poetry, stories, and music, featuring local poets (Michelle Blakely and Synchronicity Moon), a storyteller-TV personality (Blue Green of Around Akron With Blue Green), and singer-songwriters (Atomic Houdini and Lauren Brabson), with our main feature, Olivia Millerschin!

Olivia Millerschin is a 22 year-old singer-songwriter, from Detroit, with a celestial voice, wrapped in a gossamer blend of vintage folk and modern pop. The second album she composed and released, Look Both Ways, was nominated for an Independent Music Award for Best Adult Contemporary Album. She has won two John Lennon Songwriting Awards and the Great American Song Contest, was a quarter finalist on America’s Got Talent, and is featured alongside musical greats Tony Bennett and Ingrid Michaelson on Republic Records’ soundtrack to Mitch Albom’s latest novel. Her music is self-described as “top end of mediocre, low end of fabulous”, and she plays ukulele, piano, and guitar, in addition in to singing and songwriting.
