Rebranding the City: A Humanizing Tour of Akron

Rebranding the City: A Humanizing Tour of Akron

Presented by Akron Art Museum at Akron Art Museum

Rebranding the City: A Humanizing Tour of Akron is an original play by Josy Jones and Katie Beck based on interviews with residents from all 24 Akron neighborhoods. Made up of 75% direct quotes from Akronites, the play explores a wide range of subjects, from a neighborhood dating game to immigration, addiction, racism, and Facebook.

The play will be held in the Bud and Susie Rogers Garden.

This program is presented by @PLAY, a Knight Cities project to foster civic engagement and increase neighborhood vibrancy with a series of interactive art challenges and playful activities in Akron neighborhoods.
