Anne E. DeChant is a Nashville recording artist originally from Cleveland, Ohio where she was a five-time Singer-Songwriter of the Year. She has performed with Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow, Train, Chicago, Edwin McCain, Joan Armatrading, and Melissa Etheridge, and has delivered stand out shows in storied venues ranging from Nashville’s Bluebird Café, Cleveland’s, Cain Park, NYC’s, The Bitter End, Charlotte’s, Evening Muse to the White House…the White House White House.

DeChant’s name derives from the French “of song”, a birthright clearly expressed through an unmistakable voice and songwriter’s perception. She began her career as the dynamic lead singer of Cleveland fan favorite, Odd Girl Out, before becoming the powerhouse artist she is today with eight critically acclaimed studio album releases to her credit. DeChant’s masterfully crafted, poignant songs create worlds where her characters and their stories spring to life. Her commanding voice and perfectly nuanced delivery move the listener from one world to another with mesmerizing effect. DeChant is first and last a story-teller, an artist who writes with an urgency and sweet understanding of the people who stumble and keep keeping on.

DeChant’s signature song, “Girls and Airplanes,” about women breaking down barriers, is featured on the soundtrack of the Hollywood film, “The Hot Flashes,” starring Brooke Shields; in the documentary, “The Vetters: All We Needed”; and has become a staple for Cleveland’s Windsong Chorus. The anthem is honored with having been added to the Frontiers of Flight Museum’s (Love Field, Dallas) prestigious archive collection. DeChant’s commissioned song, “Here I Am” is the Official Theme Song of The Transplant Games of America.

DeChant is touring in support of her 2018 recording, “Lost in Kentucky”, hot on the heels of her 2017 fan-funded release, “The Sun Coming In”, which climbed to #6 on the Roots Music Report’s national chart, and its first single “Sunday Morning Drive”, to #1.

“Great songs, amazing energy, brilliant stage presence. Don’t miss her!”
