Beethoven Symphony No. 3 - Akron Symphony

Beethoven Symphony No. 3 - Akron Symphony

at EJ Thomas Performing Arts Hall - University of Akron

The Eroica Symphony bursts with the revolutionary spirit of its original dedicatee, Napoleon. Resulting from an explosion of creativity, it was Beethoven’s favorite of his own symphonies. Mass in C is also from his great Middle Period, a time when Beethoven counteracted his hearing loss by fueling his music with heightened expression.
