Join us for a new series of conversations featuring alumni from Myers School of Art in partnership with Student Art League. Presented as part of Five Star Friday.

Our inaugural event features 3 Graphic Design alumni (L to R): Jermel Wilkerson, Jacinda Walker, and Jamal Collins.

Jermel Wilkerson Sr., class of 1996, is a UX/UI designer out of Twinsburg who develops digital experiences for local brands and mentors creative youth.

Jacinda Walker, class of 1996, is renowned for her work in design, diversity, research, and strategy. She is the founder of designExplorr, and author of Design Journeys: Strategies for Increasing Diversity in Design Disciplines. With over 25 years of professional design experience, her future goals are to develop design education initiatives for underrepresented youth.

Jamal Collins, class of 1997, is a visual design educator and mentor from Cleveland, teaches at-risk youth throughout the inner-city, exposing them to the field of design.

We will begin our event with PechaKucha style presentations from each participant to give background on their story and career followed by a moderated Q&A with time for questions from the audience.
