BFA Thesis Art Exhibition

Presented by Kent State University School of Art at Center for the Visual Arts at Kent State

Kent State University’s School of Art Collection and Galleries and the School of Art present the third annual “BFA Thesis Exhibition,” the School’s largest event of the year.  Fifteen students, working in a variety of media, will have their capstone bodies of artwork on display in gallery spaces throughout the entire Center for the Visual Arts. The opening reception and celebration will take place on Friday, April 19 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. for all 15 students’ exhibitions. Both the exhibition and the reception are free and open to the public.  The exhibition will be on view through April 26.

The ARTshop, a retail store with handmade gift items created by our students, will also be open during the reception.  The ARTshop is open Thursday 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. during the school year and is located in room 257 in the Center for the Visual Arts.

This event will mark the third time in the School’s history that all the students graduating this spring with their B.F.A. degrees will have their thesis exhibits open simultaneously. Students majoring in a variety of areas of studio art will have their work on display during this exhibition, including drawing, painting, jewelry/metals/enameling, sculpture and expanded media, textiles, print media and photography, and ceramics.
