A special show of Chiara Reading’s stained glass sculptures, Greg Gowen’s metal sculpture and Adirondack chairs that combine recycled plastic lumber with original Don Drumm artwork.
In your wildest dreams can you imagine that New Jersey businesswoman Chiara Reading didn’t know she had a creative bone in her body until age 40 when she took a stained glass class? Now, only 8 years later, she’s a celebrated artist incorporating spiritually powerful Agate stones into glorious glass sculptures. Or in your wildest dreams can you imagine a father teaching his 8-year-old how to weld? Then Greg Gowen grows up to use a fiery blow-torch as a paint brush, capturing the exploding colors of New Mexican sunsets over dessert sands in copper, bronze, brass and steel sculptures. Or in your wildest dreams can you imagine Akron businessman Alan Robbins producing Adirondack chairs that combine recycled plastic lumber with original Don Drumm artwork including the iconic suns? Approximately 280 plastic milk jugs are recycled to create one chair.
