A Fugitive's Path Escape on the Underground Railroad

Presented by Hale Farm & Village at Hale Farm and Village

Experience Hale Farm & Village’s interactive A Fugitive’s Path: Escape on the Underground Railroad. Before the Civil War, men, women and even children risked their lives to escape slavery on the legendary Underground Railroad.  Under cover of night, guests of Hale Farm & Village become runaway slaves and experience the harsh realities faced in their journey toward freedom. The Underground Railroad program explores issues of slavery and race relations in northeast Ohio, a hotbed of abolitionism before the War Between the States. Tours depart every 20 minutes beginning at 5:40pm on April 2 and 9.  Reservations are required.  Admission is $20, or $15 for WRHS members. This program is recommended for adults and children grades 4 and up. Discount rates are available for groups of 12 or more. A Fugitive’s Path is an indoor/outdoor activity and guests are asked to dress for the weather.  For information and to reserve your tickets call 330-666-3711 x 1720 or halereservations@wrhs.org.
