The Cuyahoga River: Our 50 Year Struggle for Clean Water

Our burning river had its last fire 50 years ago. Elaine Marsh, watershed specialist with the Summit Metro Parks, leads a visual presentation on the conditions that led to a century of fires, the consequences of those fires and the river’s remarkable recovery from them.

She will also discuss the benefits of clean water to northeast Ohio and the river’s role in the region’s future.

Light refreshments will be served, courtesy of the Friends of the Goodyear Branch Library.

Registration begins on Tuesday, July 23.
