Professional Development: Creativity in Today's Classroom

Join Oberlin Center for the Arts in its second annual professional development training presented in partnership with Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the Educational Service Center of Lorain County. This event will bring together educators from around the region for an exciting, one-day symposium that seeks to build partnerships across disciplines and districts, helps create experimental learning environments, expands opportunities for students faced with learning exceptionalities, and builds advocacy from the classroom.

Creativity in Today’s Classroom will feature workshops, and interactive sessions across a wide variety of content areas with sessions for all levels of educators, administrators, general educators, and special education coordinators.

Sessions to include;

Trauma-Informed Care for Arts Educators
Crafting Sound: Integrated learning for all ages through STEAM
Write Across the Curriculum with Comics
Poetry for Young Scientists and Social Scientists
Kinetic Classrooms
Deepening Learning by Combining Art with Science, ELA or Math
Integrating Creative Problem Solving and the Arts

$35.00 Registration until August 13, 2019. Day of event: $50.* Includes lunch.

Symposium attendees will receive 0.5 CEUs through the Educational Services Center of Lorain County.
