PechaKucha Akron: Rethinking Race

PechaKucha Akron: Rethinking Race

Presented by PechaKucha Akron at Jean Hower Taber Student Union Theatre, University of Akron

PK Akron speaker series provides a safe space where ideas, personal stories, and innovations can be shared and discussed. We are starting the new year with earnest conversations brought to you through the lens of our partners, Rethinking Race at the University of Akron. Rethinking Race hopes to engage the public with important topics such as diversity in the workplace and awareness of issues and culture, to better understand the importance of diversity and inclusion through films, performances, Face-2-Face Conversations, PK Akron, and keynote speakers.

PechaKucha (Japanese for “chit chat”) is the world’s fastest-growing storytelling platform, used by millions around the globe. PechaKucha is what “Show and Tell” always dreamed of becoming.
10 speakers. 20 slides each. 20 seconds per slide.

That’s it. Simple. Engaging. Spurring authentic connections.
Global innovators use the PechaKucha platform to create powerful, visually-compelling stories that move audiences in less than 7 minutes.
