Lil' Loaves (A Youth Showcase Showdown)

Presented by Wandering Aesthetics at Akron Center for Art, Music & Performance (The Center)

The evening will feature a wide array of youthful artistic talent and culminate in two performers being awarded prizes.

THE PERFORMERS

The Nomads (Band)
The Nomads are a pop/rock band from The Hudson School of Music under the direction of their band coach, Jeremy Jones. Members of the band include, Ella Bozan (11) lead singer, Nolan Diehl (12) drummer, Gavin Bozan (13) guitarist, and Mira Zamarro (14) pianist. They have been together for just over two years and have entertained crowds at events such as Akron’s PorchRokr, Signal Tree and Big Love Festivals, the Akron Rubber Ducks games, Stan Hewitt Hall & Gardens, “Rock for A Good Cause” at Jilly’s Music Room, Gardener of Bath’s Art Fest, the Countryside Conservancy Market and Hudson’s Ice Cream Social on The Green, just to name a few.

Mira Kirby (Guitarist)
Mira Kirby has been in love with music ever since she knew what it was. Which in her case was at age one! She is eleven now and is still in love with music, which is why she will be performing her musical talent on stage today. She will be playing and singing a song that she wrote on the guitar. The song is called, “Heart of Gold.” It is about doing what is right for you, and sometimes changing to do so. Hope you enjoy!

Detention (Band)
Detention is a group of four rockers ranging in age from 12-years-old to 17-years-old. They’ve been playing all over Akron, OH performing covers as well as writing and recording their own original tunes, some of which have been played on local radio stations, Akron/Canton 91.3 FM The Summit and ESPN Cleveland WKNR-AM 850 during The Really Big Show with Tony Rizzo. The band recently performed at the world-famous Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles and will be rocking a stage in Austin, TX during the 2020 SXSW Conference & Festival in March. The members are Elliott Carter, lead vocalist, Fritz Dannemiller, bassist, Evan Cox, guitarist and Luke Konopka, drummer. Three of the four are Akron Public School students.

Grace Bozan
Grace Bozan (8) is homeschooled and loves theater, dance, music (voice & piano), skiing and just hanging out with her friends and family. She is very excited to perform at The Lil’ Loaves Talent Showcase!

Estelle Messina (Singing & Dancing)
Estelle Messina (11) loves performing and dreams of one day being on Broadway. She has been performing with Wandering Aesthetics since she was 5 years old. A triple threat, Estelle doesn’t just act, but also sings and dances.

Wilson Ha (Singing)
Wilson Ha is a junior at Hawken School. He’s been involved in singing, musical theater and is part of a rock cover band called Pointless. He enjoys singing a variety of genres of music.
