The Hudson Library & Historical Society will host a live virtual streaming event with Hugo Award-winning science fiction author John Scalzi on June 24 at 7 p.m. Scalzi will discuss his latest book, The Last Emperox, the thrilling conclusion to the award-winning, New York Times and USA Today bestselling epic space opera adventure series. Kirkus Reviews calls the book “punchy, plausible, and bittersweet; studded with zingers until the very last line.”

John Scalzi is the author of numerous novels such as the Old Man’s War Series, Head On and The Collapsing Empire. He won the Hugo Award for his debut novel Redshirts.
