NEW NORMAL AT SUMMIT ARTSPACE

We’re so happy to be open again at Summit Artspace on East Market! Summit Artspace will be following state directives so visitors will need to register for a timed ticket. Tickets (link below) are good to visit the galleries during public hours. Artists with studios in the building will each have their own reopening timelines and guidelines.

MAIN GALLERY HAS AoRC REGIONAL SHOW

See the Artists of Rubber City Regional Juried Art Exhibition juried by artist Amy Mothersbaugh of Cuyahoga Falls in the main gallery space. The show attracts area artists who work in an array of media sharing contemporary visual themes.

PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW IN THIRD FLOOR GALLERY

On the third floor in the THREE G Gallery, the juried photography exhibit Motion // Emotion will intrigue visitors with visuals that reveal the external energy of motion and internal emotion. Photographer Tim Fitzwater (http://www.Fitzwater-Photography.com) is the juror.

FATHER/SON STORY TOLD IN LETTERS & PHOTOS
JULY 10 – AUG. 8, 2020 | OPENS JULY 10, NOON

Building father-son relationships are complex at best when living side-by-side during a son’s growing up years. But what if your father is in prison? This solo show by Akron area educator and artist Greg Milo is a poignant record of family ties. Mr. Fred and Mr. Greg – Love Beyond Boundaries runs July 10 to August 15 in the Welcome Gallery.

ARTIST STUDIOS WELCOME YOU BACK

With re-entry to Summit Artspace on East Market, you can also check out the artists studios . Artists have been back at their studios for several weeks and many of them have continued to create new works that you’ll be able see and purchase. They will be determining their own reopening schedules and guidelines for visiting their spaces.
