Curated Storefront has turned on the charm and welcomed artists to present work inside and out of its mobile shipping container art gallery called Outside the Box. Stationed in Akron’s Northside District, this Artwalk evening will be jazzed with cultural activity, welcoming folks to wander in the open-air, explore the neighborhood, and take in the contemporary wonders of an historic Midwestern city.
Rag proper and put on your three-by-nine smile for an evening of art and culture.

Featured artwork includes:
*’Love’s Seat’ a bent metal rod bench and lenticular display custom designed by Diane Davis-Sikora, Kasumi, and Jon Penvose as a Knight Arts Challenge project. (Production credits: Bench, United Metal Fabricators Inc. and Lenticular Prints, Parallax Printing)
‘Vortex, 2020’ an 8’ x 20’ mural made with spray paint on Dibond by Miami, Florida based artist HoxxoH; and
‘Wild Wild West: Political Antics’ distorted ceramic portrait sculptures of presidential candidates and a 9’ charcoal and paper mural by Akron artist Ron White.

Other creative offerings throughout the evening include a fire at sunset in the Fire God, a metal Tiki-esque functional sculpture by John Comunale, live music, and potential for live painting by Los Angeles, California based visiting muralist Aise Born.

The artwork will on display indefinitely.
