Using Ancestry in Your Genealogy Research

Using Ancestry in Your Genealogy Research

Presented by Akron-Summit County Public Library, Special Collections Division at Online/Virtual Space

With more than 10,000 databases and 200 billion images, Ancestry is the premier online genealogy resource. It’s available within any ASCPL location, and it’s also freely available anywhere you have internet access until at least March 31, 2021. This class will introduce you to the many features of Ancestry Library Edition, including its Ohio and Summit County resources, and show you how to do efficient and effective searches.

This program will be presented on Zoom. A webcam and microphone may be necessary to participate fully in this interactive event. If you have neither of these, your participation may be limited.

You will receive an e-mail with the participation weblink one day before the program. If you do not have an e-mail address or are unable to attend, please contact the Special Collections Division by phone at 330-643-9030 or e-mail the division at: speccollections@akronlibrary.org.
