The Cuyahoga Valley Art Center (CVAC) is proud to present Detailed Selected Works from Mark Giangespero and Beth Lindenberger, displayed January 26 – March 4, 2021. Mark Giangaspero’s figurative works and Beth Lindenberger’s nature inspired ceramics are created with much attention to detail, although very differently. In this exhibition, the artists are exploring the relationships and interconnectedness of previous and current bodies of work from their collections.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHIES

Mark Giangaspero Website
Mark Giangaspero studied and taught visual arts under the late Jack Richards until Mr. Richards’ passing in 2014.  Mark has taught drawing and painting classes (in a variety of media) at CVAC over the past six years. He has shown his work in such prestigious galleries as the McDonough Museum (Youngstown State University), Viewpoints at the Cincinnati Art Club, the National Arts Club in New York and the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown where his pieces, Mr. Richardson and Portrait of Chris, are held in the Institute’s permanent collection.

Beth Lindenberger Website
Beth Lindenberger has worked as an artist for over 30 years, making and exhibiting primarily sculptural ceramic forms.  Beth holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Ceramics degree from the University of Akron. In addition to her studio work and teaching Pottery at CVAC (since 1986), Beth has taught Ceramics and 3-Dimensional Design at the University of Akron, and has held adjunct faculty positions at Kent State University (Stark), and Cuyahoga Community College. She has served as the Artist in Residence at several schools.  Beth’s piece “Seedscape: Black and White” was featured in Ohio Craft Museum’s “Best of 2017” exhibition and was featured in a recent edition of Ceramics Monthly magazine. A larger scale public work can be seen at the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center in Peninsula.
