Leanne Biltz from Hope and Healing, which is the Battered Women’s Shelter and Rape Crisis Center of Summit and Medina Counties, will share with our community her knowledge about domestic violence, and where people can turn.

Learn about their free services, which include case management, relocation assistance, children and adult therapy, and many other services.

Hope and Healing will work with anyone who has suffered sexual violence or intimate partner violence, including men, women, children, elderly, immigrants/refugees, LGBTQ folks – anyone who has suffered abuse. These local services provide emotional support to sexual assault survivors at the hospital, on the 24-hour hotline, and can accompany survivors to the police department as well.

This presentation will focus specifically on Battered Women’s Shelter services and programs, with information about both our shelters in Summit and Medina counties. Learn about the Power and Control wheel, as well as the cycle of violence.
