Presented by City of Green, Ohio at Boettler Park

The Green Arts Council and the City of Green’s Parks and Recreation Division is pleased to present the 16th art-A-palooza, a fine art show, held at Boettler Park, 5300 Massillon Road, on Saturday, August 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.   More than 70 local and regional artists will be participating in this year’s event along with several food vendors.  Admission and parking are free.

Live Music and Children’s Activities

A Children’s Activity tent, provided by Kindercare, will offer crafts for children.   The activity tent will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  In addition to kids’ activities, there will be live entertainment performing from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. including dulcimer music from Heather and Lisa Malyuk; flutist Don Fulmer; folk music from Dennis Kempthorne; and guitarist Dale Galgozy.

Food Options
A variety of lunch and snack items will be available including lemonade and sausage sandwiches from John’s Concessions; roasted nuts from Holcomb’s Classics; LaVern’s Kettle Korn, Italian ice from LaDow’s Concessions; sandwiches and snacks from Cheezylicious Food Truck; healthy/vegan food from Ahimsa; smoothies and ice cream treats from Island delights; and La Macaron French Pastries.

Raffle Prizes

In the Green Arts Council tent, the organization will be conducting a raffle of more than 60 donated art pieces from the various exhibitors to benefit its scholarship fund.   Raffle tickets are one for $1, six for $5 and 15 for $10.  The Green Arts Council provides scholarships to Green High School students pursuing continue education in the field of art.

Information about Boettler Park
The City of Green’s Boettler Park, located at 5300 Massillon Road, is an 82-acre multipurpose park with two playgrounds including one inclusive play area for children of all abilities. The park features a one-mile walking track path, two tennis courts, four pickleball courts, a basketball court, 10 soccer fields, two lighted sand volleyball courts, a nine-hole disc golf course, two picnic pavilions and restrooms.  The newly restored 1880s one-room historic Lichtenwalter Schoolhouse, located just past the tennis and pickleball courts, is managed by the Green Historical Society. During art-A-palooza, the historic schoolhouse will be open for tours.
