Zentangle class at Summit Artspace – no experience necessary & if you are experienced – it’s a relaxing form of meditation. $20 fee includes all materials. Students have option of including their work from class in an exhibition opening April 7.
Zentangle is an easy-to-learn method and can be a relaxing form of meditation using repetitive patterns.
Carol Bailey Floyd and Maria Copetas, both Certified Zentangle Teachers, will be leading a Zentangle class which will include beginning and intermediate instruction. The $20 fee includes all materials (a Zentangle kit with pencil, sharpener, blending stump, tiles, Zendala and a Micron fine point pen.)
The class begins with learning the basics of Zentangle – no experience is necessary. Though if you do have experience, it is calming and relaxing to try a new design with Carol and Maria! After the class has finished the first tile, the intermediate level class follows (i.e. the same night.) A Zendala will be the intermediate level project. Students will be albe to finish both projects during this one class.
Additionally, students participating in this class will be able to have their work (that is created during this evening of March 24) in an exhibition at the Summit Artspace's Transition Gallery that opens on Thursday, April 7th. (Also the night of our FRESH exhibition's Artist Panel.)
The age range for the class is 7 and older. Participants who are 7 to 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
