Hudson Fine Art and Framing Co. is excited to announce an upcoming show of the Whiskey Painters of America.  This show will kick off  Saturday, November 27 th, from 5 to 7 pm with opening reception.  There will be over 200 whiskey paintings from all over the United States.  The first chance to purchase one of the paintings will begin that evening.  Please note that Hudson Fine Art and Framing Co. will be closed Friday November 26th to install the art show. Show runs through Dec. 23rd.
The Whiskey Painters of America is an exclusive group of 150 painters nationwide. The society is reported to have begun in the late 1950’s in Akron, Ohio.  A genuine whiskey painting is a miniature watercolor no larger than 4″ x 5″, cannot be framed larger than 8″ x 10″ and the minimum price being $75. The watercolor is created by dipping the brush in some form of alcoholic, hence the name.
