Je’Mclain’s “The Lies They Told” is a riveting stage play about three couples who have been friends for many years which decide to go away together on a couples retreat. On the retreat, they choose to get counseling to better their relationships and friendships which proves to be a bad idea that reveals deep dark secrets that test the limits of each relationship. The audience will experience an amazing ride of emotions ranging from drama and comedy to joyful worship all offered by a stellar ensemble cast. Carl Payne the male lead, is best known for his roles on hit television sitcoms such as “Cole” on Martin and “Cockroach” on The Cosby Show. Joining Payne is veteran songstress Tamika Scott of the group Xscape, “Bad Boy of Comedy” BoBo Lamb and rising R&B singer & actress ZanYé.
