Cromwell Tapestry Project Lecture by Candy Marang

Join us on June 18 for a program about restoration of the historic Cromwell Tapestries, completed at nearby Stan Hywet. The Cromwell bed linens were purchased by the Seiberling’s in 1915 and are based off the stich pattern, they are estimated to be 17-th century Flemish “large leaf” design.
This program is presented by Candy Marang who details the 5-year project, discussing the historical research, recreation of the patterns, and the small group of dedicated stitchers to executed the project.
Program begins at 10 a.m. at the Hower House Museum; free to HHM Guild members, $10 for non-members. Advanced reservations are required and due by Tuesday, June 14, by calling 330.972.6909. Seating will be limited; masks are appreciated at this time.
