The Oberlin Trio kicks off The University of Akron’s Kulas Concert Series’ 20th season at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 25 at the School of Music’s Guzzetta Recital Hall, 157 University Ave.
Founded in 1982, The Oberlin Trio’s current members are pianist Haewon Song, violinist David Bowlin, and cellist Dmitry Kouzov. Recent performance highlights include concerts in Seoul, Los Angeles, Portland, and San Francisco; and live broadcasts on WCLV Cleveland. In 2022, they released an album of trios by F.J. Haydn on the Naxos label.

The Kulas Concert Series is the UA School of Music’s signature series, supported by the Cleveland-based Kulas Foundation, showcasing stellar guest, faculty and student artists. The School of Music is part of the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences at UA.
