Looking to start your novel or develop your craft? Join a roundtable discussion about the ups and downs of the writing process. Panelists include Noor Hindi, David Giffels, Whitney D. Grandison, Nick Courage, and Rachel Ekstrom Courage. Free and open to the public.

Noor Hindi (she/her/hers) is a Palestinian-American poet and reporter. Her debut collection of poems, Dear God. Dear Bones. Dear Yellow was published by Haymarket Books.
David Giffels is an author/essayist/journalist in Akron, OH. His six nonfiction books include the national-bestselling memoir “All the Way Home” and “Barnstorming Ohio: To Understand America,” one of Library Journal’s Best Books of 2020.
A lover of words, Whitney D. Grandison has been writing since as far back as she can remember, she is the author of “A Love Hate Thing” and “The Right Side of Reckless.”
Nick Courage is the New Orleans-born author of Storm Blown, Snow Struck, The Loudness and a soon-to-be announced Middle Grade fantasy series. Nick speaks widely about writing, publishing, and children’s literature–most recently in his “Writing Youth Literature” course at the University of Pittsburgh.
Rachel Ekstrom Courage is an author and publishing professional. She spent over a decade as a NYC-based book publicist, first working on mysteries and thrillers for Minotaur, then assuming a directorial role for Penguin’s Dutton and Gotham imprints, and finally working on blockbuster fiction for St. Martin’s Press. Rachel has spent the following decade as a literary agent, representing #1 bestsellers and award-winners at agencies such as Irene Goodman and Folio before opening Courage Literary in 2022.
