Join us for this special collaboration between Akron Soul Train and Stewart’s Caring Place.  Akron Soul Train Artist-in-Residence, Katherine Moore will lead this workshop on mindful movement, utilizing gentle movement, imagery, and breathwork to promote ease and resilience in the body.  Participants will have the opportunity to follow along with movement led by the instructor, tune in to their own body\’s sensations, and follow their own creative movement impulses.  Class will conclude with opportunities for reflection by writing/drawing and connection with peers.  Class is open to everyone at any stage in their treatment or recovery as well as family, friends or anyone else whose life has been touched by cancer.  Movement variations ranging from resting/visualization to full body dancing will be given to accommodate everyone\’s physical capacities and curiosities.
