DownBeat Magazine award-winning jazz venue, BLU Jazz+, is “taking things up a notch” by putting a front door on Market Street with the addition of BLU Plate, a “black & BLU” dining experience featuring a chef-driven menu of low-country culinary delights.

Expanding upon the popularity of BLU Jazz+, BLU Plate pays homage to the food, music & culture of places like New Orleans, St. Louis, Memphis & Nashville – with an Akron twist. Popular southern dishes like shrimp & grits, muffaletta, po’boys, hush puppies, blackened chicken, BBQ, crawfish, andouille gumbo & more are on the menu, along with the exciting beer, wine, cocktails & live music you’ve come to know & love from downstairs at BLU.
