The mission of Players’ Patchwork Theatre Company is to entertain, to educate, and to provide members of the company and community with opportunities to create and perform original theatrical works and adaptations of plays from antiquity.

We are a theatrical performance troupe specializing in a fusion of devised and improvised comedy with roots in the commedia dell’arte of sixteenth-century Italy. Founded as a university student group in 2006, we now have nearly 300 performances to our credit, playing to audiences not only throughout Ohio and the Midwest but as far away as Albany, New York. We’ve appeared at numerous conventions including Marcon, Cleveland ConCoction, Rubber City Pop Culture Fest (now called River City Pop Culture Fest), ZipCon, Ohayocon, NyanCon, Tekkoshocon, Wizard World, and many more. Under the Italian-translated name i Verdi Confusi, we also perform frequently at events of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), particularly on both the main stage and second stage at the annual Pennsic War event where we also teach classes and hold workshops on our particular form of theatre.
