The Western Reserve Community Band is a volunteer music organization sponsored by Hudson Community Education and Recreation, in Summit County, Ohio. The band performs 7 to 10 concerts per year that are free to the public. Performances are at Fellowship Halls of local churches, Hudson Library, Hudson Middle School, the Gazebo on the Hudson Green and elsewhere in and around Summit County. Concerts may feature solo performances by band members. Hudson resident Ralph Meyer who founded the band in 1997 continues as conductor

The band’s repertoire is an eclectic mix of fine music selected from original compositions for concert band, orchestral transcriptions, music from the Broadway stage and film scores, “big band” favorites, and great marches. The band owns an outstanding concert band library of over 1000 titles. The band continues to offer spring, summer and winter performances. Admission is always free.

Band members come from all walks of life, and range in age from high school students through retirees. New members are always welcome. While there is no audition, there may be a waiting list for some sections. Please email us at wrcband97@gmail.com for information regarding joining the ensemble.
