ABOUT THE ARTIST: Kevin lives and works in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He studied fine arts, design and animation at the Columbus College of Art & Design. He has been exhibiting his work throughout northeast and central Ohio for the past eight years. His work won him second place overall in Akron’s first annual Akron Art Prize competition in 2012. In 2008 and 2009 he was the recipient of artist grants through Downtown Akron Partnership to create artwork for Akron’s First Night celebrations. Concurrently in 2008 and 2009 Kevin was awarded best of show two years in a row in Summit Art Space’s annual Fresh Art exhibition. Kevin has exhibited his work in some of the region’s most notable gallery spaces – The Akron Art Museum, The Massillon Museum of Art, The Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation, Don Drumm Studios, and most recently The Akron Community Foundation. Learn more about Kevin at KevinSmalley.com.
