The CenterStage Theater Department at Walsh Jesuit High School presents its Fall dramatic production of the Charles Dickens classic, “A Christmas Carol,” November 16th at 7:00PM, November 17th and 18th at 7:30PM, and matinee performances November 18th and 19th at 2:00PM in the school’s theatre, located at 4550 Wyoga Lake Road, in Cuyahoga Falls. There will be a preview performance on November 15th at 7PM.
This version of “A Christmas Carol” was adapted for the stage by former Clevelander and now Los Angeles, California resident, Tony Palermo. David Banks, in his eighteenth year as the Director of the CenterStage Theatre, wanted to keep to the tradition of the story as well as incorporate some special effects to add some spice to the show. “This rendition lends itself perfectly to the vision I had for the play.” It was also made into a film starring George C Scott as Scrooge. Cast as Ebenezer Scrooge is Sawyer Krause of Hinckley, while Bob Cratchit is portrayed by Connor Cline of Akron. Stephen Yakopovich of Macedonia plays Dickens, the Narrator and Zachary Knopper of Macedonia plays Jacob Marley. The Ghost of Christmas Past will be performed by Margo Tipping of Fairlawn, and Dominic Mazullo of Richfield plays the Ghost of Christmas Present. Fred is portrayed by Alex Geldart of Solon, and Kate, his wife is played by Maddie Salata of Garfield Heights.. The fundraising team of Lamb and Poole are played by Tessa D’Errico of Medina, and Charles Kadair of Akron. Mrs. Cratchit is portrayed by Sophia Judge of Akron. Martha Cratchit is played by Kaitlyn Gabric from Parma, while Mia Novak plays Peter Cratchit. Tiny Tim Cratchit will be performed by Noah Wilson of Hudson.
Rounding out the cast are Eva Janigian of Akron, JoJo Radecky from Bedford, Cassie Girardi of Independence, Kayla Emanuel-Ward of Cleveland, Sarah Eckman and Julia Rizzo of Cuyahoga Falls, Valerie Tipping and Vivian Tipping from Fairlawn, Alexis Strazzanti of Hinckley, AJ Dashner, Jaime Masetta-Carlton, and Grace Wilson of Hudson, Caroline Kuczek from Maple Heigthts, Ryan Ennis from Parma, Alexa Maragos of Richfield, Sidney Katona and Jack Szeremet from Sagamore Hills, of Solon, Jessica Siracusa of Twinsburg, and Kat Krainz from Walton Hills.
