ArtsNow Presents - Donna S. Collins, Ohio Arts Council

Donna Collins, Executive Director of the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) and proven leader in the field of arts education and arts advocacy, is set to lead an artist-centered community conversation hosted by ArtsNow on Thurs., Feb. 15 at Northside Marketplace.

Collins brings more than 20 years of experience leading statewide non-profit organizations and guiding consistent campaigns that impact policy, education, economic development, and arts and culture.

During her upcoming community conversations, Collins will answer community questions and talk about the success she’s seen increasing art and culture services to constituents, creating policy, and generating more funds for the arts at state and national levels.

Collins’ visit will also include meetings with Akron’s art and culture leaders including Howard Parr of the Akron Civic Theatre, Mark Masuoka of the Akron Art Museum, and Nicole Mullet of ArtsNow.

Part of the strategy of ArtsNow is to convene and connect our community in Summit County with thought-based industry leaders to strengthen the impact of the arts and culture sector,” said Mullet, Executive Director of ArtsNow.

The Community Conversation will take place on Thurs., Feb. 15, 2018 from 4:00-5:30PM at the Northside Marketplace located at 21 Furnace St, Akron, OH 44308.

While the event is free to attend, tickets are expected to be reserved quickly.
