Buy a Mystery, Help Feed a Community

Meet mystery author Amanda Flower, whose newest book is Prose and Cons.

Prose and Cons, the second novel in the Magical Bookshop Mystery Series, is Amanda’s twentieth published book. To celebrate, she is donating $1 for every copy of the novel sold by December 20th to local food pantry, the Landing, located in Akron, Ohio. The Learned Owl Book Shop will also make an additional $1 donation for every copy of the novel pre-ordered or sold through the bookstore through December 20th.

Weekly, the Landing food pantry provides food for over sixty families on a budget of $200 per week. The pantry is located in the basement of Akron Christian Reformed Church on Marshall Avenue in Akron. The money earned from the sales of Prose and Cons will be used to purchase an industrial refrigerator, so that the pantry can provide more perishable food for the community that it serves.
