Concert for the Children of Port Arthur, Texas

Presented by Akron Civic Theatre at Akron Civic Theatre, Akron OH

Nov 10 2017
Concert for the Children of Port Arthur, Texas

This concert is to benefit Lucian Adams Elementary School in Port Arthur, Texas (just outside of Houston) which was flooded in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.  The school’s 650 students have been placed in six other already overcrowded schools.

This event is designed to help provide these students and their teachers with complete school supplies and other essentials whenever they are able to get back into their building.

The Great Akron Loves Disaster Fund has been setup by members of Akron’s faith community and other partners to help victims of disasters in the U.S. and its territories.  The Concert for the Children of Port Arthur, Texas is just the first of these efforts.
