Neos Dance Theatre is testing the boundaries of urban and classical arts at the beautifully restored Goodyear Theatre in Akron, Ohio. Come out the East side to see what life is like!

A Knight Art Challenge winner, 2015/16

dance.r.evolution (DRe), resident Choreographer Mary-Elizabeth Fenn explores how classical and urban arts interact to look at movement in different ways. Neos is working with hip-hop dancers, graffiti artists, and urban/pop musicians to produce ground breaking new work.

Also featured this evening is the world premiere of Holly Handman-Lopez’ *new work created during Neos’ Oberlin College residency this Spring. All new lights, sets, video, costumes, and choreography!

One more work on the program, Flight, by Hubbard Street Dance Chicago alumni Penny Saunders. Penny’s work is sought after across the country by classical and contemporary companies alike! Don’t miss the reprise of this audience favorite.

*This piece is rated PG for use of suggestive sexual video content.
