A recovery meeting featuring the real stories of our neighbors and familiar songs in a new light.
In the last year, we have seen heroin claim the lives of old classmates, coworkers, and friends. Unsure of what else we could do to fight back against this terrifying epidemic, we decided to use the only weapons we have: each other. Our stories. Our music and art. If theatre could have such a profound impact on us just by doing it for its own sake, maybe it can help others when we give it a specific purpose – to foster understanding between those who feel they are unaffected, to remind those struggling that they are not alone, and to trust that a better life is possible, if we come together to create it.
