Kent Keyboard Series: Jerry Wong

Faculty recital.

Described by Pulitzer Prize-winning critic Martin Bernheimer as “eloquent and elegant…(with) passion and introspection…sensitivity and a finely honed sense of style”, Kent State faculty member and Steinway Artist, Jerry Wong, will present a recital of unforgettable solo works for piano. Seymour Bernstein’s masterpiece New Pictures at an Exhibition (which pays homage to Mussorgsky) will be featured on the program. The program also includes George Rochberg’s Four Short Sonatas and several Preludes and Etudes by Sergei Rachmaninoff. Free parking.
