KSU's Verve Chamber Players

Performing the music of Haydn, Frank Wiley and Brahms.

Kent State University’s faculty Ensemble-in-Residence, the Verve Chamber Players will present a chamber music recital on Tue., March 20 at 7:30 p.m. They will also be joined by guest artists oboist Danna Sundet, Kent State faculty, and Kent State graduate students Cristian Diaz, viola, and María Flórez Areiza, cello. The core members of the Verve Chamber Players consist of Amy Lee and Cathy Meng Robinson, violins; Joanna Patterson Zakany, viola; Keith Robinson, cello; and Donna Lee, piano.

-String Quartet No. 14 in G Major, K. 387 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

-“Of Mountains Lost to Time” for string quartet and oboe by Frank Wiley (KSU Faculty)

-Sextet in G Major, Op. 36 for two violins, two violas and two cellos by Johannes Brahms
Featuring Cristian Diaz, viola, and María Flórez Areiza, cello

Tickets are available in advance through the Performing Arts Box Office in-person, by calling 330-672-2787 (ARTS) or at www.kent.edu/music/buy-tickets. $15, adults; $13, seniors and Kent State University faculty; $10, groups of 10 or more; $8 non-Kent State students and Kent State student’s ineligible for the Fee for Free; FREE for full-time Kent Campus undergraduates and those 18 and under. The Performing Arts Box Office is located in the Roe Green Lobby, Center for the Performing Arts, at 1325 Theatre Dr. on the Kent Campus. Tickets are also available at the door one hour prior to the start of the performance.
