Medieval music brought to life for audiences with a multimedia program featuring works from a recently-discovered 15th-century songbook produced in partnership with Chicago’s Newberry Consort.
Les Délices brings music and images from the recently-discovered Leuven Songbook to vivid life in this multimedia program including gorgeous projected manuscript images and supertitles. The book’s contents constitute a personal playlist of both popular songs and unique works that tell stories of Medieval love and loss. Produced in collaboration with Chicago’s renowned Newberry Consort, our ensemble of singers, medieval fiddles, harp, lute, organetto, and recorders will perform works by Ockeghem, Busnois, and more.
