MUwDV - Mahwish Chishty Live Interview

Made-Up with Danny Volk is a Knight Arts project. Thank you to the Knight Foundation and the Akron Community Foundation for your support!

Join us for a live interview with artist, Mahwish Chishty at The Nightlight on Sunday, October 8 at 2 pm. MUwDV is an artist interview series in which Volk asks artists questions while they create art on his face using everyday makeup. Danny’s face is revealed at the end of the interview, creating a fun and exciting climax to the informative conversation. Local band Comfort Clouds will be playing before each live Akron interview.

Mahwish is Assitant Professor in Foundations at Kent State University. Initially trained as a miniature painter from the National College of Arts, Lahore, Pakistan, Mahwish Chishty has aggressively combined new media and conceptual work with her traditional practice.
