Oh Give Thanks : DIY Napkins + Holders

Have you ever wanted to get crafty and give back to our community at the same time? We’ve got your ticket! The Akron Craft + Social Club likes to pARTy with a purpose – a portion of proceeds from each creative opportunity benefits a local charity.

Our very first event, “Oh Give Thanks : DIY Napkins and Holders”, is a creative opportunity to eat, drink and be merry with other fabulous people, make a gift to give to a friend (or to yourself), and give back to a local charity – all in one fun-filled evening. The first event will be held at Hazel Tree Interiors near downtown Akron.

At “Oh Give Thanks : DIY Napkins and Holders”, you will learn wire-wrapping FUNdamentals and how to create designs on denim napkins, inspired by the cyanotypes of Anne Atkins. You’ll leave with your own, custom-designed set of dinner napkins and accompanying wire-wrapped holders – plus the knowledge to work on more projects like it at home.

A portion of proceeds from “Oh Give Thanks : DIY Napkins and Holders” will benefit Gennesaret, an all volunteer non-profit that shelters homeless families and feeds the poor.
