Open Streets - Akron

Connecting Neighborhoods, Connecting People

Open Streets closes the streets to cars…and opens them to people. Bike, walk, jog or skate! Explore your community and its history in a safe, fun and healthy way. It is a free event to our residents. We will connect the neighborhoods of Kenmore, Summit Lake, and Firestone Park with a 4.3 mile route that will include Kenmore Boulevard, the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail, Wilbeth Road, and South Firestone Boulevard. There will be free bike rental, food, games, entertainment, a disc golf tournament, community booths and more! Come out and experience Akron in a new way.
