Pianist Andreas Haefliger

Get engaged: pre-concert talk at 6:30 p.m.

Margaret would be thrilled. A highlight of this program is one of the most demanding solo works in the classical piano repertoire: Beethoven’s colossal Piano Sonata No. 29. Op. 106. Also:

  • Alban Berg’s Piano Sonata, Op.1
  • Franz Liszt’s Legend No. 2: St. Francis of Paola walking on the water
  • Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 28 in A major, Op. 101

“Unlike many virtuosos, Andrfeas Haefliger is a musician first and pianist second. Haefliger is a pianist to watch. More importantly, he is a pianist to listen to.” — Chicago Tribune

“An artist at his peak: confident, serene, consummately lyrical…a vision of musical architecture second to none.” — International Record Review
