The University of Akron Steel Drum Band will be in concert on Saturday, April 8, 8 p.m. at EJ Thomas Hall, 198 Hill St. Warm up with UA’s exciting ambassadors for summer! With original compositions, Kendall Williams and his cousin Gerion Williams explore all possibilities of the steel pan, from calypso and panorama to Stravinsky, Shostakovich, Philip Glass and Steve Reich.
